Heaven on Earth
all good everywhere and non-good nowhere

Heaven on Earth has always been the cherished desire of everyone who likes to live in peace, harmony and fulfillment.

Heaven means everything ideal and perfect, everything in complete harmony with everything else. Because there is so much negativity and suffering in the world, you may wonder if an ideal state of life in Heaven on Earth ever be a reality in the world.

Life is bliss

Despite the current general notion that life on earth has to be lived with obstacles, negativity and problems, there has been a voice of hope for mankind since 1957. In that year Maharishi Mahesh Yogi started his worldwide movement of teaching Transcendental Meditation in the world.

Maharishi told us that life is bliss. He also said that no suffering should be experienced by anyone, because it is possible to develop a state of permanent bliss. He said: "I will fill the world with love and create Heaven on Earth". This expression is based on the knowledge that inside of everyone there is a field of pure bliss, pure consciousness.

This field of bliss had become easily available through Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation technique (TM). As more and more people started TM, experiencing Transcendental Consciousness, the field of inner bliss and pure intelligence, their lives began to greatly improve.

Happier and more fulfilled individuals

They noticed that their mind became clearer, they were less overshadowed by problems and they became more successful. Their health improved and they became happier and more fulfilled individuals.

The basis for all these improvements in life lies in the regular experience of self-referral consciousness, which is infinite organizing power. It is Natural Law, which is the unified field of consciousness, which organizes everything in the universe in a perfect way.

When we align ourselves with this unified field of al the laws of nature, then our life becomes more in tune with the cosmic administrator, Natural Law. This is the reason for the numerous benefits, experienced by those who practise TM.

Heaven on Earth - Raam Raj

It is this silent and infinite field of pure intelligence, experienced by more than 5 million people practising the TM technique, which inspired Maharishi to inaugurate "Maharishi's Year of Heaven on Earth" in 1989. In that year a huge project for the removal of poverty was developed.

In July 2007, on the auspicious Vedic celebration day "Guru Purnima", Maharishi announced "Global Raam Raj". Global Raam Raj means a world without suffering, Heaven on Earth.

Raam is the universal ruler, totality, Natural Law. There is an ancient Vedic expression which expresses this: Raam Raj dukh kahu navyapa. It means: ''In the reign of Raam, suffering belonged to no one.''

Heaven on Earth will be characterized by all good everywhere and non-good nowhere. What is Heaven on Earth? It is perfect health, a perfect way of thinking, a perfect way of doing. A perfect way of thinking means every thought will be appropriate for the thinker and his surroundings, and appropriate thought results in appropriate action and appropriate behaviour. We have that knowledge to train the whole of mankind to think spontaneously in accord with Natural Law, in favour of the evolution of life. - Maharishi
